My wife and I certainly enjoyed our visit to the cottage & plantation. Two days and nights of peace & serenity helped create a memorable birthday for Linda. Laura was very helpful and our short conversation with our hostess, Robin, served to emphasize and certify the reality of "Southern Hospitality."

A wonderful day with family and friends. The Chaplain prayed for good weather and his prayers were heard. We had a 4 1/2 hour window, and our daughter Jenny had a fairy tale wedding. Rose Hill, an amazing venue and a wonderful day. Thank you for sharing your home with our family and friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in the cottage. The property and home are just beautiful and so well kept allowing for such a quiet peaceful and relaxing stay. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thankful for this opportunity and wonderful memory-making experience.
What can I say? This place is AMAZING! Our wedding was fabulous and many people commented on the stunning house and landscape. Thank you for allowing us to use this place for our wedding. Our "big" day went perfectly!
This property is fabulous. I love everthing about the mansion. The Spanish Moss is magnificent. People can fall in love here. I think you should put this on YELP or TRIPADVISOR. It's romantic sojourn into an abyss of calm. It's great to get away from the hum drum work-a-day world, where I am an accontant in a large city. We love this place! Can't say that enough. Thinking about taking our Christmas photo here in 2014 because we already have this year's scheduled.

We were here for Van Swift & Linda Hall's wedding. Beautiful weather great event for a wonderful couple. The history connected with Rose Hill is stunning. The connection with the 115th NY Regement (mustered in our region) made the stay even that much more meaningful. Where we come from, the 115th were dubbed THe "Harper's Ferry Cowards." Ironic, eh?
The battered boys in blue worked to redeem themselves when they were sent to this area for the remainder of the C.W. Saving Rose Hill from the fate of other plantation homes is to their credit.
Cynthia is a good docent. We enjoyed our tour of the mansion with all its artifacts.
Best wishes to all

We are so lucky to be among the few to see the "before and after." You have done a marvelous job of preserving this treasure. The only thing that is more precious than the historic mansion is the two special people who keep everything going.

“A Wonderful Taste of the Genuine South”
Pick your own superlatives! This place earns them all and manifests all that is great about the South. The house is superbly restored and furnished to transport you back to "Gone With the Wind". And to be escorted on the tour by the present owner and a descendant of the original owner added immensely to the experience. What's more, they invite you to wander at will, touch the ornaments and sit on the furniture - just like you're a guest in their home. And we were their guests, staying overnight in the lovely guest cottage adjoining the main house - bedroom, 2 baths, living room, kitchen and office all ours to enjoy. Wish we'd had more days to spend there - but we'll be back! . Thank you so much.

The Cottage is the perfect place to get away for a cozy weekend. And as you can see from these pictures [on Rose Hill Mansion Facebook page], it is the perfect venue for a wedding, or special picnic or over the top party.

We are back in the UK now after a great trip to Georgia and the Carolinas, it hasn't stopped raining since we landed and we wish we were back in the US. We thought we would drop you a note to say how much we had enjoyed staying in your guest cottage next to your lovely home. It really was a highlight of our trip and we are sure we will return. The tour of the house was excellent and we are certain that many of your guests find your story inspirational - we kept looking for ruined plantation homes as we moved up the coast.

We have had a wonderful time in the guest cottage. We love coming to the US and this experience has been one of the very best. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxong break and we found that walks around the pond presented different surprises every day - herons, egrets, storks, turtles and Marvin the 'gator was seen on several occasions along with a friend!! The tone of the house was excellent. Robin, you talk with such passion about all you have achieved and the two hours in your company were an absolute delight. We are sad to leave !
PPS - Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us. ppm

3/27 - 3/30, 2012 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rose Hill. We saw Beaufort and Savannah, pedaled the Rose Hill community several times and also rode to Bluffton. Our last day we went to Bluffton and saw the Church of the Cross - very nice. Then we went to Palmetto Bluff and bicycled around. Very relaxing. We had a wonderful cacation. We won't forget and recall fondly!

Thanks for all the fun & relaxation. Your staff is excellent & the grounds are beautiful. Lacy gave us a late tour because we had a charter boat on HHI that kept us from attending at 2pm. She made our visit. Her attitude & energy are contagious. Hope we see you all again. God Bless!

Rose Hill Plantation home is the perfect place for R&R. The view is spectacular, the home is amazing and the cottage was really cozy. Thank you so very much for opening up your wonderful home to the public. I love history and what better way to "relive" our country's history than visit Rose Hill and experience your very educational tour.
Sitting on the veranda, rocking away while taking in the beautiful grounds is something I'll always remember. Deer, Herons, Egrets, squirrels and amazingly an armadillo all decided to make their presence while we enjoyed the cozy cottage comforts of your property. Thanks again for your "Southern Hospitality" and best of luck on the completion of your "baby" - the crown jewel of the South.
We were surprised to find out there was only one guest home and it was available! Meticulous details in home and owners made it very cozy. Grounds were so lovely and included tour of mansion. Would stay again!”

A great place to visit.
We stayed here only 1 night on a trip to Savanna and Charlston and looking back on our vacation we would have stayed longer. What a peaceful visit. If you want to look at a Plantation stay here and take the tour. No disappointments.

“Thank you for opening up your houses to visitors. We were enchanted the first moment we glimpsed Rose Hill Plantation House until our parting. Cynthia’s informative narrative made Rose Hill’s history come alive for us.Our too brief stay in the carriage house was delightful. We were greeted by 15 white tail deer when returning from a drive. A few of the more curious deer stayed to watch us through the side window as they munched on the outside plants. I think the only wildlife we didn’t see was the gator!”

The hosts of this property could not have been more accomodating or available. Touring the adjacent plantation home is a wonderful historical experience; the guide was outstanding, and having tea served at the end of the tour is a wonderful touch.

“We had a delightful time!! My biggest complaint would be our visit was too short! It was an honor to meet everyone and stay at such a historic place. The home and property are just breath taking. We were extremely comfortable in the guest home. The tour by Cynthia was fascinating – she did an awesome job recreating the yesteryears. We enjoyed our first visit to Bluffton and Hilton Head and do hope to return again someday. Thank you for the opportunity to share in this experience. May Rose Hill Plantation and the White family only continue to have happy time and good fortune.”
